Nghiên cứu can thiệp lâm sàng ngẫu nhiên có đối chứng được thực hiện từ tháng 10/2022 - tháng 9/2023 tại Bệnh viện Đại học Y Hà Nội nhằm đánh giá tác dụng kéo dài giảm đau sau mổ bằng dexamethasone phối hợp ropivacain trong gây tê mặt phẳng cơ dựng sống cho phẫu thuật cột sống thắt lưng. 70 bệnh nhân phẫu thuật cột sống thắt lưng theo kế hoạch được giảm đau trước mổ bằng gây tê mặt phẳng cơ dựng sống chia thành hai nhóm: nhóm sử dụng dexamethasone phối hợp ropivacain và nhóm ropivacain đơn thuần. Kết quả cho thấy, nhóm phối hợp dexamethsone có thời gian kéo dài giảm đau (6,35 ± 0,54 giờ) lớn hơn đáng kể so với nhóm chứng (3,38 ± 0,46 giờ), lượng morphin trong 24 giờ đầu sau phẫu thuật thấp hơn đáng kể (8,74 ± 3,56mg so với 16,32 ± 6,54mg, p < 0,05), điểm đau VAS khi nghỉ và vận động đều giảm có ý nghĩa ở các thời điểm 4, 6, 8, 12 giờ (p < 0,05). Nghiên cứu của chúng tôi cho thấy dexamethasone phối hợp với ropivacain trong gây tê mặt phẳng cơ dựng sống cho phẫu thuật cột sống thắt lưng có tác dụng kéo dài thời gian giảm đau đồng thời giảm tiêu thụ opioid.
