Ung thư tuyến giáp thể nhú là bệnh lý ác tính phổ biến nhất ở trẻ, chiếm 85 - 95% các trường hợp ung thư tuyến giáp tuy nhiên ung thư tuyến giáp thể nhú là khối u hiếm gặp ở trẻ em dưới 10 tuổi. Mặc dù ung thư tuyến giáp thể nhú tiến triển nhanh hơn ở trẻ em nhưng có tiên lượng tốt hơn khi so sánh ung thư tuyến giáp thể nhú ở người trưởng thành. Trong báo cáo ca bệnh này, chúng tôi báo cáo ca bệnh trẻ nam 9 tuổi được chẩn đoán ung thư tuyến giáp thể nhú và thảo luận về phác đồ điều trị kết hợp giữa phẫu thuật và I131. Người bệnh ung thư tuyến giáp thể nhú được cắt bỏ toàn bộ hai thùy tuyến giáp và nạo vét hạch và điều trị bằng I131. Tình trạng của người bệnh không có dấu hiệu tái phát khối u sau phẫu thuật 16 tháng.
