Lo âu trước phẫu thuật có thể ảnh hưởng đến quyết định điều trị và kết quả điều trị chung của người bệnh phẫu thuật. Nghiên cứu này nhằm mục tiêu xác định tỷ lệ người bệnh lo âu trước phẫu thuật lồng ngực và xác định một số yếu tố liên quan đến lo âu trước phẫu thuật lồng ngực tại Bệnh viện Phạm Ngọc Thạch. Thiết kế nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang, ở 271 người bệnh phẫu thuật lồng ngực tại Bệnh viện Phạm Ngọc Thạch - Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, từ tháng 06/2023 đến tháng 8/2023. Có 64,94% người bệnh lo âu trước phẫu thuật, trong đó có 10,7% người bệnh có lo âu từ vừa đến nặng. Nữ giới, nhóm tuổi trẻ, độc thân, học vấn càng cao càng làm tăng mức độ lo âu trước phẫu thuật của người bệnh. Lo âu của người bệnh trước phẫu thuật lồng ngực là phổ biến, do đó người bệnh cần được can thiệp giảm lo âu trước phẫu thuật lồng ngực.
