55. Các yếu tố liên quan nào làm gia tăng nguy cơ tử vong khi mắc COVID-19?

Kể từ khi ghi nhận ca mắc COVID-19 đầu tiên vào tháng 1/2020, Việt Nam là một trong những quốc gia chịu ảnh hưởng nặng nề trong đợt dịch thứ tư do biến thể Delta, đặc biệt tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Việc nhận diện các yếu tố nguy cơ tiến triển nặng giúp xác định nhóm dân số dễ tổn thương nhất và định hướng can thiệp y tế. Nghiên cứu hồi cứu của chúng tôi quan sát trên 504 bệnh nhân mắc COVID-19 trong tháng 8/2021 tại Bệnh viện Dã chiến số 16 trực thuộc Bệnh viện Bạch Mai tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, nhóm bệnh nhân trên 60 tuổi có nguy cơ tử vong cao hơn 3,1 lần so với nhóm dưới 60 tuổi. Tiền sử đái tháo đường được xác định là yếu tố góp phần đáng kể làm tăng nguy cơ tử vong (OR = 1,646, 95% CI: 1,036 - 2,617, p = 0,035). Mỗi đơn vị tăng của BMI làm tăng nguy cơ tử vong lên 6,7% ở bệnh nhân mắc COVID-19.
