Abstract

Laparoscopy-guided hysteroscopic tubal catheterization is one of the treatments for infertility due to proximal tube obstruction. 74 infertility patients underwent this method from 2017 to 2021; the results of the intraoperative evaluation are as follows: The rate of patients who had a successful catheterization was 43.2%. Univariate as well as multivariate analysis shows that the success rate of catheterization in patients with infertility duration less than 36 months or interstitial segment occlusion was higher than in patients with infertility duration of more than 36 months or with isthmic segment occlusion. It is recommended that patients should receive tubal cannulation soon after the diagnosis of infertility due to proximal tubal occlusion, as well as have counseling on the probability of successful catheterization based on the site of the tubal occlusion.
