11. Analgesic activity of TD0015 on experimental models
Main Article Content
Abstract
TD0015 consists of many components with analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, aiming to relieve the symptoms of osteoarthritis. This study was performed in mice to evaluate the analgesic activity of TD0015, using three models with different causes of pain (heat, mechanics, and chemicals). Aspirin 150 mg/kg bw oral route, codeine phosphate 20 mg/kg bw oral route, and TD0015 at the doses of 2.4 g/kg bw, 7.2 g/kg bw oral route were used. After the intervention, TD0015 at both doses demonstrated analgesic activities on two models using acetic acid and using Dynamic Plantar Aesthesiometer. In contrast, TD0015 did not show any analgesic effect on the Hot plate model. In conclusion, TD0015 had central and peripheral analgesic effects.
