17. Antitussive and expectorant activities of Tecan capsules on patient with acute viral pharyngitist

Abstract

This research was conducted to evaluate the antitussive and expectorant activities of Tecan capsules on patient with acute viral pharyngitis. 60 patients were randomly divided into 2 groups: 30 patients were treated with placebo (group I) and 30 patients were treated with Tecan (group II). After 7 days of treatment, cough and expectorant symptoms decreased significantly in 2 groups, with greater improvements in group II compared to group I (p<0.05).
