Abstract

The study evaluated of several  factors associated with interstitial lung disease in rheumatoid arthritis patients. The study included  212 patients with rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed in accordance with ACR 1987 and ACR/EULAR 2010 criteria were divided into 2 groups: Group 1 included 145 rheumotoid arthritis patients without interstitial lung disease, Group 2 included 67 rheumatoid arthritis patients with interstitial lung disease were identified interstitial lung disease according to ATS/ERS/JRS/ALAT 2011 criteria. In this study we found that there  was an association between intertitial lung disease and age: rheumatoid arthiritis patients over 65 years of age have a higher rate of intertitial lung disease than those of rheumatoid arthritis patients aged less than 65 years with p < 0,05 and OR 1,95. Rheumatoid arthritis patients with cigarette smoking had a higher incidence of interstitial lung disease than non-smokers with p < 0,05 and OR 3,3. The concentration of surum RF and serum anti CCP in the group of rheumatoid arthritis patients with interstitial lung disease was higher than the group of patients with rheumatoid arthritis without interstitial lung disease with p < 0,05. There was not association between interstitial lung disease with sex, disease activity level with p>0,05. Interstitial lung disease is a commom complication in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. In the process of diagnosis and treatment patients with rheumatoid arthritis we need to have more attention to detect early interstitial lung disease.
