32. Social media as a communication tool for dentists in oral health care

Abstract
A cross-sectional study was conducted on 166 practicing dentists from May 2022 to September 20222. The results showed that 100% of doctors participating in this study had social media accounts, of which 98.8% dentists interacted with customers via Facebook (73.2) and Zalo (55.5%). The prevalence of dentists sharing knowledge about oral health care through social networks was 88.5%; 80.1% of dentist provided online consultation via social networks. In addition, 65.1% of dentists had posted clinical pictures before and after treatment on social media and most dentists considered social networks to be effective for reaching and attracting new customers.
