37. Assessment of stress, anxiety, and depression among nurses

Abstract
Stress, anxiety, and depression is a big concern among healthcare workers, especially nurses. Stress, anxiety, and depression are associated with nurses’ quality of life and patients’ quality of care. Objective: to examine stress, anxiety, and depression and determine factors related to stress among nurses. Materials and methods: a cross-sectional descriptive correlational study was conducted on 94 nurses working at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Results: the rate of nursing suffering stress, anxiety and depression was 15.9%, 22.4% và 24.5% respectively. There was a significant association between stress and daily working hours among nurses (p < 0.05). Conclusion: supports and strategies should be applied to decrease work pressure and number of working hours among nurses towards enhancing quality of care for patients.
