22. Mortality rate and related factors in COVID-19 cerebral anemia patients

Abstract

This study was conducted at the Stroke Center of Bach Mai Hospital during COVID-19 pandemic to investigate clinical characteristics, mortality rate and factors related to mortality rate after 90 days of treatment in ischemic stroke patients with the diagnosis of COVID-19. Of the result, the mean year of age is 72 ± 13.9 with male accounting for 62.5%. Median NIHSS score at admission was 8.5 (IQR: 4 - 14); the mortality rate on the 90th day after treatment was 31.3%. Factors which related to mortality rate after 90 days of treatment included: patients over 75 years of age, NIHSS score more than 15, Glasgow less than 13, presence of atherosclerosis, large artery occlusion and severity of COVID-19.
