Abstract

This is a cross-sectional study conducted on 334 provincial health workers (HCWs) to describe some impacts of COVID-19 on provincial health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in 7 provinces during 2021 - 2022. Research results show that, of the total 334 provincial health workers participating in the study, the highest proportion has a university degree (46.1%), followed by a college degree (34.1%). Only 16.5% of health workers have postgraduate degrees. The average contact time of provincial health workers with COVID-19 patients or people suspected of being infected in 2021 was from 8 to 12 hours/day, accounting for the highest rate (42.7%); By 2022, the highest contact time was ≥ 12 hours/day (41.7%). The rate of provincial health workers participating in the study being infected with COVID-19 at least once in 2021 - 2022 was 79%. In 2021, the proportion of provincial health workers worried that the COVID 19 pandemic was not under control, worried that they may be infected with COVID 19 or exposed to unknown COVID-19 cases reached 60 - >80%. Worries about lack of personal protective equipment were found at the lowest rate (49.5%). By 2022, the proportion of provincial health workers experiencing anxiety problems decreased significantly. After the pandemic, 84.1% of provincial health workers did not have post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD).
