11. Fallopian condition and treatment methods in infertility patients with bilateral proximal tubal obstruction on hysterosalpingography
Main Article Content
Abstract
To diagnose and treat infertility due to proximal tubal obstruction, laparoscopic surgery is one of the preferred methods. With 125 infertile patients with bilateral proximal tubal obstruction on hysterosalpingography (HSG) performed laparoscopic surgery from 2017 to 2023 at the National of Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, the results were obtained. The rate of true proximal VTC occlusion is 68.8%, the remaining pseudo-occlusion rate is 31.2%. In addition, 92.4% of proximal tubal obstruction had no distal damages. Meanwhile, no distal damage is a good condition for Fallopian tube recanalization. This shows that infertile patients with proximal tubal obstruction on HSG have a high chance of being prescribed Fallopian tube recanalization. This study also shows that laparoscopy is both a means to diagnose Fallopian tube problems and a treatment intervention method based on the level of tubal damages in cases of infertility with proximal tubal obstruction on the HSG.
