Abstract

Descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 93 students from VNU University of Medicine and Pharmacy. For each student, maxillary alginate impression was taken, a diagnostic cast was poured with dental stone, digital impression was taken. Some parameters are measured in DentOne Software: mesial and distal papilla height, clinical crown height, mesial and distal papilla proportion of each maxillary anterior tooth; determine position of the gingival curve characteristic point. The result is the mesial and distal papilla proportion for the maxillary anterior dentition was 41.49% and 41.72%, respectively. In CI, the distance from the gingival curve characteristic point (IP) to x and y axis were 1.12 ± 0.31mm, 2.12 ± 0.53mm in mesial; in distal were 1.07 ± 0.21mm and 1.46 ± 0.30mm. In LI, the distance from IP to x and y axis were 0.87 ± 0.23mm, 1.59 ± 0.39mm; in distal were 0.90 ± 0.21mm and 1.40 ± 0.37mm. In CI, the distance from IP to x and y axis were 1.03 ± 0.23mm, 1.51 ± 0.33mm, in distal were 1.06 ± 0.26mm and 1.94 ± 0.40mm.
