Abstract

Circumcision in males is one of the most commonly performed surgical procedures worldwide. Although circumcision is considered to have significant benefits for male reproductive health, results from previous studies regarding the relationship between circumcision and sexual function remain controversial. Our study involved 171 patients who underwent circumcision at the Department of Andrology and Sexual Medicine at Hanoi Medical University Hospital The average age was 27.9 ± 7.7 years old, with the youngest being 14 years old and the oldest 60 years old. The study utilized the PDET-5 tool to assess early ejaculation status. The results indicated that 60.2% of patients showed no change, while 30.4% experienced a reduction in their early ejaculation assessment scores. The average score before surgery compared to after surgery showed a decrease, which was statistically significant with p < 0.05.
