Abstract

Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) of the lower limbs is a prevalent condition that adversely affects patients’ quality of life (QoL). Endovenous Laser therapy is a minimally invasive treatment modality that has been shown to improve QoL in affected individuals.​ This study was conducted to evaluate the QoL of 81 patients diagnosed with CVI of the lower limbs who underwent endovenous Laser therapy at Thu Duc City Hospital between July 2023 and July 2024. Assessments were performed at two time points: before and one month after the intervention. The standardized Chronic Venous Insufficiency Questionnaire-20 (CIVIQ-20) was utilized in this study to assess QoL with CVI of the lower limbs.The average age of participants was 54.9 ± 12 years old, with females comprising 70% of the cohort. The mean CIVIQ-20 score significantly decreased from 61.2 at baseline to 37.6 (p < 0.001) at one month after the intervention. Additionally, the QoL index improved markedly from 48.9 to 70.5 (p < 0.001) in patients. ​
