Abstract

Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) is defined as a gold standard in patient care and professional development. To meet the demands of quality care and advanced training programs, assessing midwives' beliefs about EBP plays an essential role before its clinical application. Objectives: to describe midwives' beliefs about EBP and identify related factors. Materials and Methods: a descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 104 midwives employed at Can Tho Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. Results: Midwives had a moderate level of belief in EBP, with the median and mean of 66.0 (48.0 – 75.0) and 64.02 ± 8.56, respectively. Factors associated with EBP Beliefs among midiwfery included participation in EBP training courses or workshops and involvement in scientific research projects or innovation initiatives (p < 0.05).
