This study described the current situation of health seeking behaviors and utilization of care and intervention services for children with autism spectrum disorder in Hanoi, 2024. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 191 parents of children under 15 years old with autism spectrum disorder who are using services in Hanoi. The results showed that the two most frequently and consistently used information sources by parents were specialeducation teachers (49.2% frequentlyand 28.3%continuously) and the internet (42.9% frequentlyand 22.5%,continuously ). The four top prioritized criteria for information seeking are attitude and qualifications of staff, quality, reputation, and cost. A significant percentage of parents (87.4%) used more than three kinds s of child care servicessimultaneously; special education and inclusion support are the two most frequently used services (72.7% and 69.1%, respectively), with the highest satisfaction rates (over 75%). In conclusion, strengthening communication and community education, along with promoting the provision of accurate information regarding ASD and available support services, is crucial to support parents and children with special needs.
