Main Article Content
Abstract
A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted from September 2024 to September 2025 to describe the quality of life and to assess factors related to the quality of life of colorectal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at E Hospital. The quality of life of colorectal cancer patients is at an average level of 56.87 ± 15.04 points. The study shows a statistically significant difference in quality of life according to the QLQ-C30 scale. In which, the functional scale score has a statistically significant difference with the level of education; the higher the level of education, the higher the functional score, which positively affects the quality of life. The symptom scale score has a statistically significant difference with the age group; people over 65 years old has a higher symptom score, which negatively affects the quality of life. The mean score (Global Health Status) did not show statistically significant differences among age groups, gender, BMI, occupation, education level, disease stage, and number of chemotherapy cycles. We recommend to increase interventions to improve the quality of life of colorectal cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
