The rate and associated factors of influenza vaccination among older adults with coronary artery disease and/or heart failure
Main Article Content
Abstract
Influenza vaccination helps reduce complications and mortality in older adults with cardiovascular diseases; however, the vaccination rate in Vietnam remains low. We conducted a prospective cross-sectional study on 606 patients aged ≥ 60 years with coronary artery disease and/or heart failure who were treated at the Cardiology Center of Thong Nhat Hospital from August 2024 to February 2025, aiming to determine the rate and associated factors of influenza vaccination. The vaccination rate was 48,2%. Multivariable logistic regression identified acute coronary syndrome at admission, higher education (high school or above), self-generated income, smoking, prior myocardial infarction, peripheral arterial disease, and frailty (CFS ≥ 5) as independent factors associated with influenza vaccination (p < 0,05).
