Abstract

Autoimmune disease represents a diverse group of disorders with highly varied clinical manifestations. The presence of autoantibodies in patients with autoimmune diseases is identified by the ANA marker, in which the indirect immunofluorescence assay (ANA-IFA) is considered a critical biomarker. This study investigated the correlation between ANA-IFA patterns and autoimmune diseases at Hai Phong International General Hospital. The study was conducted on all blood samples from patients indicated for ANA-IFA testing at Hai Phong International General Hospital from December 2024 to September 2025. Within 6 months of symptom onset to definitive diagnosis of autoimmune disease, 61.4% of patients had suspected or positive ANA-IFA results. The speckled pattern accounted for the highest proportion at 58.1% (n = 25), followed by the dense fine speckled and homogeneous patterns at 9.3% (n = 4) and 7% (n = 3), respectively.
