Treatment outcomes of carpal tunnel syndrome using low-molecular-weight Collagen injection at the Vietnam National Rehabilitation and Nursing Hospital: A case report

Abstract
Diagnosis and treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome in patients with hypothyroidism are often challenging because its manifestations can easily be mistaken for thyroid-related symptoms. Patients with mild to moderate carpal tunnel syndrome treated with local corticosteroid injections commonly experience symptom recurrence within 12 months after treatment, highlighting the need for alternative therapeutic approaches. This study reports a case of delayed diagnosis and treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome following total thyroidectomy, as well as the outcomes of using local injections of low–molecular-weight collagen as a treatment modality.
