Abstract

Emulation and reward policies play an important role in the sustainable development of public institutions. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted among 104 employees at the School of Preventive Medicine and Public Health between 2019 and 2024 to evaluate the implementation of the school regulations on emulation and reward. The results indicate that most participants evaluated the implementation of the current emulation and commendation regulations as good, with 61.5% agreeing and 30.8% strongly agreeing. The evaluation criteria and scoring methods were considered clear and appropriate. The appraisal process was communicated promptly (59.6% agreed; 34.6% strongly agreed). In addition, emulation and reward practices were perceived to have a positive impact on work motivation (54.8% agreed; 36.5% strongly agreed). Opportunities for recognition among different groups were relatively equitable, reward levels and classifications were appropriate, and the regulations were regularly updated. It is therefore advisable to continuously improve the evaluation criteria system and periodically revise the regulations to ensure alignment with practical requirements and to enhance management effectiveness in the upcoming period.
