Abstract

Laparoscopic surgery is increasingly used in the treatment of gastric cancer, particularly in early-stage disease. This retrospective study included 199 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma who underwent curative laparoscopic resection at K Hospital between 2019 and 2025 to evaluate survival outcomes and prognostic factors. 71.3% of the patients had stage 0–I disease. The overall survival rates at 1, 3, and 5 years were 99.4%, 95.3%, and 92.6%, respectively; the corresponding disease-free survival rates were 95.6%, 89.7%, and 81.2%. Multivariable analysis identified disease stage as an independent prognostic factor for overall survival (p < 0.05). Favorable survival outcomes were observed in patients undergoing curative laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer, predominantly in early-stage disease, with disease stage identified as an independent prognostic factor affecting overall survival.
