Abstract

An analytical cross-sectional study was conducted among 189 women who attended the Assisted Reproductive Technology Department of Can Tho Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital and were diagnosed with infertility between June 2024 and January 2026. The study aimed to determine the prevalence of diminished ovarian reserve and its associated factors among infertile women. The prevalence of diminished ovarian reserve was 31.22%. Women with diminished ovarian reserve had a higher median age, a higher proportion of age ≥ 35 years old and a higher frequency of ovarian surgery than those without diminished ovarian reserve. In the multivariable logistic regression model, age ≥ 35 years old, history of ovarian surgery were associated with diminished ovarian reserve. These findings suggest that early assessment of AMH and AFC should be considered in infertile women aged ≥ 35 years old or those with a history of ovarian surgery.
