Một số yếu tố liên quan đến kiến thức và thái độ về các biện pháp tránh thai của học sinh Trường Trung học phổ thông Đan Phượng, Hà Nội năm 2024

Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted among 420 students at Dan Phuong High School, Hanoi, from November to December 2024, to identify factors associated with knowledge and attitudes toward contraceptive methods. The results indicated that the percentage of students with good knowledge was low (9.3%), and the proportion with positive attitudes was also limited (18.9%). Multivariable logistic regression analysis identified grade level (AOR = 1.88; 95% CI: 1.09 – 3.24), being currently or previously in a romantic relationship (AOR = 4.23; 95% CI: 1.96 – 9.13), father is a state employee (AOR = 3.59; 95% CI: 1.38 – 9.32), and mother is a state employee (AOR = 3.23; 95% CI: 1.27 – 8.18) as independent factors associated with knowledge. Regarding positive attitudes, the independently associated factors included grade level (AOR = 1.64; 95% CI: 1.17 – 2.29), academic performance (AOR = 1.89; 95% CI: 1.27 – 2.81), father is a state employee (AOR = 2.21; 95% CI: 1.22 – 4.02), mother is a state employee (AOR = 1.98; 95% CI: 1.10 – 3.58), and good knowledge of contraceptive methods (AOR = 2.67; 95% CI: 1.28 – 5.58). These findings highlight the need to strengthen contraceptive education within the school setting and to promote collaboration between families and schools to improve students’ knowledge and attitudes toward contraception.
