Ureteral dimensions on computed tomography and their association with anthropometric indices

Abstract
This study aimed to assess the association between ureteral length and diameter and anthropometric indices, and to explore the potential role of the UPJ–UVJ distance in estimating ureteral length on CT urography. The mean UPJ–UVJ distance was approximately 18 cm, with no significant differences between sides or genders (p > 0.05). No significant correlations were observed between ureteral dimensions and height, weight, or BMI (r < 0.12; p > 0.05). The UPJ–UVJ distance showed a positive but non-significant correlation with ureteral length (r = 0.317). Overall, ureteral size does not appear to be clearly associated with anthropometric parameters in this study.
