The unti-ulcer effects of da day HP Gia Phat hard capsule on experimental animal
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the protective effect of Da day HP Gia Phat (DDHP) hard capsules on cysteamine-induced gastric-duodenal ulcer in experimental rats. The animals were divided into 5 groups: Group 1(control) and group 2 (model) were treated by distill water, group 3 (ranitidine 50mg/kg), group 4 (DDHP 6.37 g/kg) and group 5 (DDHP 19.1 g/kg). All of rats were treated for 7 consecutive days. On day 7, peptic-duodenal ulcers were induced in rats by oral cysteamine 400 mg/kg. The number of rats with ulcer, the number of ulcers per rat and the ulcer index of each group were estimated. The results showed that cysteamine caused peptic ulcer in 100% of rats in model group. DDHP at two doses reduced the number of ulcer, the ulcer index, and reduced levels of severity of gastric-duodenal ulcer’s rats when compared with model group. Conclusively, Da day HP Gia Phat hard capsules had protective effect on cysteamine-induced gastric-duodenal ulcer in experimental rats.
