This study aims to describe the current quality of life of outpatients treated with Methadone in Hanoi.  After a 7-month period, results show that the percentage of male accounted for 99.3%, the majority of participants are working (87.3%). The majority of patients reported average or high income (70,7%) and 73.8% of them were satisfied with that level of income. 62.8% of participants in the study gave their assessment of their quality of life as “neither poor nor good”. The percentage of participants who are satisfied with their health accounts for the highest percentage (44.3%). The average quality of life scores for the WHOQOL-BREF domains arranged in descending order were physical health, mental health, environment and social relationships, with the respective scores of 73.56; 64.16; 62,14 and 56,17.
