23. Assessment of the impact of the evidence-based practice training on nursing students at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy

Abstract

Evidence-based practice (EBP) is considered the gold standard and useful tool in patient care and also for enhancing manpower improvement. To respond to the competency standards of Vietnamese nurses and improve the quality of care, the first important step is to raise students' perception of EBP. Objective: to evaluate the effect of the EBP program for nursing students on nursing students’ beliefs and implementation EBP. Materials and methods: a quasi-experimental study was conducted on 46 full-time undergraduate nursing students at the faculty of nursing and medical technology, Can Tho university of medicine and pharmacy. Results: students have positive beliefs and improve the applicability of EBP after finishing the course (p < 0.05).
