Abstract

Dissociative identity disorder is the most severe and uncommon in dissociative disorders, it is more commonly present in European countries or the US than in Asia. We reported a case of dissociative identity disorder admitted for treatment at the National Institute of Mental Health. The diagnosis is determined through the process of examination and follow-up, excluding factors related to substance use, physical pathology and secondary benefits. We recommend that patient diagnosed for dissociative identity disorder should be closely monitored for treatment and management for mental stabilization.
