27. The demand of digital dentistry training of dentist in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract
To assess the need for digital dentistry training among dentist a descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from June 2023 to February 2024, surveying 120 dentists in Ho Chi Minh City. An online questionnaire evaluated their usage of digital dentistry, knowledge, and training needs. Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, and the Shapiro-Wilk test. 87% of dentists expressed interest in digital dentistry training, focusing on CAD/CAM applications and digital impressions. The preferred training formats included on-site workshops and clinical case studies. There was significant demand for digital dentistry training, especially among younger dentists and those in private practice. Training programs need to be flexible to address the diverse needs of these groups within the dental profession.
