One - stage modified Devine-Horton repair for penile and scortal hypospadias

Abstract
We conducted this prospective, descriptive study in patients to evaluate the outcomes of penile and scrotal hypospadias repair using a one – stage modified Devine–Horton technique. The mean age of 114 patients was 4.7 ± 2.6 years old. Success rate of penile hypospadias was 82.1% (64/78), urethral fistula 8.9% (7/78), urethral stricture 6.4% (5/78), urethral dilatation 2.6% (2/78). Success rate of scrotal hypospadias was 88.9% (32/36), urethral fistula 5.55% (2/36), urethral stricture 5.55% (2/36). The above results show that treatment of penile and scrotal hypospadias using the modified Devine–Horton technique was feasible and achieved an optimistic successful rate with 114 patients undergoing surgery.
