Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of intrauterine infusion of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in 50 in-vitro fertilization (IVF) patients with a history of refractory thin endometrium unresponsive to standard hormone protocols. Results showed that the standardized PRP preparation yielded a mean platelet concentration of 1247.53×106/mL (a 5.07-fold increase from baseline). Regarding safety, no adverse event directly related to the procedure was recorded. In terms of efficacy, the therapy significantly improved endometrial thickness from 5.98 ± 0.72mm pre-intervention to 7.19 ± 0.99mm post-intervention (p < 0.001), enabling 70% (35/50) of patients to proceed to embryo transfer. The clinical pregnancy rate among transferred patients was 37.1% (13/35). In conclusion, autologous PRP infusion is a safe and effective method for improving endometrial thickness and offering pregnancy chances for patients with refractory thin endometrium.
