Abstract

Medicell Plus Premium, manufactured by Picostech Co.,Lt, is a topical dermatological formulation containing 11% bone marrow–derived cell culture extract, combined with extract from Leontopodium alpinum cells, along with various bioactive peptides and hydrolyzed collagen. This study aimed to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Medicell Plus Premium in a thermal burn model in rats. Thermal burns were induced on the dorsal skin using a metal device. Dexpanthenol and Medicell Plus Premium were applied immediately after burn induction and continued for 21 days. Outcome measures included local wound characteristics, burn wound area over time, hydroxyproline content in skin tissue, and histopathological features at the lesion site. The results showed that Medicell Plus Premium at 0.2 mL per application, administered once or twice daily, significantly reduced burn wound area and increased hydroxyproline levels in the skin compared with the model group. In addition, Medicell Plus Premium improved the histological structure of the skin, as evidenced by partial re-epithelialization and reduced inflammation. Therefore, Medicell Plus Premium demonstrates efficacy in treating experimental thermal burns in rats.
