Abstract

The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic can have significant impacts on the mental health of healthcare workers, negatively affecting their physical health and work performance. This study described the symptoms of depression among 754 healthcare workers of Hanoi Medical University Hospital (HMUH) during COVID-19 pandemic between February 28, 2022 to April 14, 2022 and explored the factors related with depression. Depression was assessed using the DASS-21 scale. The proportion of healthcare workers with depression symptoms was 21.4%. Providing direct patient care to COVID-19 patients and lack of social supports were significant risk factors for of depression in healthcare workers.
