Abstract

Thrombolytic therapy has proven effective and safe in the treatment of high-risk pulmonary embolism. In the case of patients who have contraindications to thrombolytics, it is truly a clinical challenge in treatment. The early and accurate use of unfractionated heparin, preparation of the intervention, and pulmonary embolectomy team combined with multidisciplinary consultation (The Pulmonary Embolism Response Team) is the optimal strategy nowadays.
