Abstract

This is a retrospective study conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the combination of mild ovarian stimulation and oocyte accumulation in patients with diminished ovarian reserve. Results: the number of total metaphase II (M-II) oocytes/patient was 7.85 ± 3.52, the number of day 2 embryos was 5.31 ± 2.42. The survival rate of vitrified oocytes was 91.22%. There was no statistically significant difference in fertilization rate, embryo formation rate, the number of day 2 embryos and quality of day 2 embryos in the group using frozen oocytes and fresh oocytes for intracytoplasmic sperm injection. The pregnancy rate (PR), implantation rate (IR), and clinical pregnancy rate (CPR) were 50%, 28.89%, 38.46%, respectively. Conclusion: the combination of mild ovarian stimulation and initial oocyte retrieval has been shown to be effective in patients with diminished ovarian reserve.
