Abstract

Duodenal ulcer is a common disease of the digestive tract. This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of Khoi tim Baiveco capsules on cystemine-induced duodenal ulcer model in Wistar white rats. Rats were divided into 5 groups, the control group and the model group were given distilled water, the remaining groups were given famotidine 50 mg/kg; Khoi tim Bavieco capsules 0.48 capsules/kg and 1.44 capsules/kg for 10 consecutive days, respectively. Then, rats of groups 2 to 5 duodenal ulcers were iduced by oral cysteamine at the dose of 400 mg/kg twice. Evaluation indicators include duodenal ulcer index, % ulcer inhibition, macroscopic and microscopic images of the duodenum. Research results showed that Khoi tim Bavieco capsules reduced the duodenal ulcer index, had the effect of inhibiting ulcers and improving pathological lesions compared to the model group. Thus, Khoi tim Bavieco capsules had anti-ulcer effects on cysteamine-induced duodenal ulcer rats.
