Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aimed to describe the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of endometrial polyps in infertile patients and to evaluate the results of hysteroscopic surgery. The study was conductedat the National hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology from August 2022 to July 2023. The sample size included 194 patients with an average age of 31.6 ± 5.8 years old, most of whom had no children. The main clinical symptom was menorrhagia. The average size of endometrial polyps on ultrasound was 10.8 ± 5.3mm, most of which were less than 20 mm in size. Patients with polyps ≥ 10mm in size had a rate of abnormal vaginal bleeding 2.32 times higher than patients with polyps < 10mm in size (OR = 2.32; 95% CI: 1.11 - 4.92; p < 0.05). The majority of treatment for BTC mucosal polyps in the study were endoscopic resection, accounting for 96.9%. 178 infertile patients underwent diagnostic laparoscopy without other treatment (91.8%). One year after surgery, 55 cases had natural pregnancies, accounting for 28.4%. There were 64 cases of pregnancy through assisted reproduction, accounting for 34.0%.
