66. Characteristics of the clinical learning environment for nursing students at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine

Abstract
The study aimed to investigate the characteristics of the clinical learning environment and the level of satisfaction of nursing students at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 222 undergraduate nursing students at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine who had completed at least one of the five Nursing Practice courses. Results: of the 222 students aged 20 - 24 years old included in our analysis, 86.49% were female, and 66.67% were enrolled in the General Nursing program. The median CLES+T mean score was 4.46 (4.08 - 4.68). Among the five domains, the supervisory relationship scored the highest at 4.88 (4.38 - 5), followed by the role of the clinical teacher at 4.78 (4.22 - 5). Overall, 90.54% of students expressed satisfaction with the clinical learning environment. The clinical learning environment at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine meets nursing students’ needs, with high satisfaction in supervisory relationships and clinical teacher roles. Strengthening positive factors and addressing limitations are needed to further enhance learning motivation, strengthen professional commitment, and ensure a high-quality nursing workforce for the healthcare system.
