Abstract

This is a cross sectional study of sexual dysfunction and related factors in pregnant women attending antenatal care at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2020. FSFI questionnaire (Female Sexual Function Index) was used to assess the sexual function for women: Women with a score of 26.55 or less are assessed as having sexual dysfunction. In 130 participants, 20% did not have intercourse within the past 4 weeks. The prevalence of sexual dysfunction is relatively high at 51.5%. The average FSFI score in pregnant women is 23.9 ± 7.7 points. Pregnant women in the second trimester have an average score of 2.9 ± 0.9, which is lower than pregnant women in the first trimester (3.6 ± 1.0). Factors as maternal age, attitudes towards sexual intercourse during pregnancy are related to sexual dysfunction in pregnant women.
