Thái độ an toàn của nhân viên y tế tại Bệnh viện Đa khoa Thảo Nguyên, tỉnh Sơn La năm 2020 và một số yếu tố liên quan

Abstract

This cross-sectional study described the attitude of 97 healthcare workers regarding safety at Thao Nguyen General Hospital. Safety attitude was assessed using th Safety Attitudes Questionnaire. The questionnaire was translated into Vietnamese and tested for reliability by Nguyen Thi Huyen Tram (Cronbach's alpha = 0.885). For all the items in the questionnaire, the participants scored an average of 69.56 ± 8.91 (out of 100). The job satisfaction section had the highest average score (78.25 ± 14.67), followed by sections on working conditions (72.51 ± 14.69), perceptions of management (71.56 ± 11.72), teamwork climate (69.72 ± 11.53), and safety climate (67.08 ± 9.63); the participants scored the lowest average in the stress recognition section (58.18 ± 14.67). The proportion of healthcare workers with positive safety attitudes was 22.7%. Female, single, nurse and those with bacheler degree had significantly higher level of safety attitude compared to their counterparts (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the average safety attitude scores of healthcare workers at Thao Nguyen General Hospital were found to be above average. Hospitals should implement training programs to improve the areas with low average safety knowledge scores in order to enhance a culture that safeguard patient safety.
